i get that people are worried about the fukashima reactor/contaminated water/etc and its definitely a cause for concern and its okay for people to be worried and its okay to raise awareness but this fucking image:

i have seen this attached to multiple posts about the reactor with people claiming that it’s a map of the radioactive water or what the fuck ever in the pacific. this is a lie. it’s the potential energy generated by the earthquake that happened in 2011, as a simple reverse image search managed to reveal quickly and easily.

when you exaggerate this shit or point-blank make shit up as a scare tactic, you aren’t doing anyone any favors. this is a bad situation and making it look worse than it actually is is a shitty thing to do. you’re spreading misinformation to scare people and guilt them into paying attention to this and it’s wrong. knock it off.
